Speech Processing Solutions releases next-generation AI voice technology solution in North America
Philips SpeechExec Enterprise dictation and transcription platform and Nuance's professional speech recognition provides a one-stop-shop for legal professionals in North America
By: Speech Processing Solutions USA Inc
ATLANTA - Aug. 17, 2021 - PRLog -- Speech Processing Solutions (SPS), the leader in professional dictation, announced the launch of Philips SpeechExec Enterprise version 7 in North America. The long-standing collaboration with Nuance Communications enables professionals to utilize state-of-the-art voice technology, including dictation, transcription, and speech recognition as a true all-in-one solution. The new version integrates Nuance Dragon speech recognition into the Philips SpeechExec Enterprise dictation and transcription workflow, allowing customers to edit or archive audio and text files.
"As market leaders in our respective fields, SPS and Nuance combine the best of both worlds for our customers when it comes to speech recognition and workflow solutions which allows our users to speed up their communication and documentation to exceed their clients' expectations," explained Yvonne Kirsch, VP, and Director of Sales North America, Speech Processing Solutions.
Supporting modern and flexible workspace demands
With the growing demand for modern and flexible work environments, companies can take speech recognition to the next level when combined with a solution that allows for team workflows, tracks status updates, assigns priorities and tasks to dedicated personnel, and much more.
Ed McGuiggan, GM at Nuance Communications, adds: "We are pleased to expand our long-lasting collaboration with SPS. With the integration of Nuance Dragon into Philips SpeechExec Enterprise 7, we created an easy way to deploy a solution that fully meets the requirements of the modern workplace within large corporations. Together, we are accelerating the adoption and scalability of speech recognition solutions to support collaborative work environments, regardless of where employees are located."
Philips SpeechExec Enterprise 7 supports more advanced speech recognition technology by utilizing Nuance's speech recognition software. SpeechExec Enterprise connects to an on-site Windows server for front-end speech recognition, allowing sensitive customer data to remain within the company walls. For back-end speech recognition, files are sent from the Philips Voice Recorder App and mobile dictation devices to a shared location on the network where Philips Speech Recognition Server constantly monitors, retrieves new files, and converts them to text.
Example use cases for companies using the new solution include short, stand-alone copy as well as longer copy documents, such as e-mails, memos, comprehensive briefs, or contracts that involve several touchpoints from team members. All recordings are processed through speech recognition and then reviewed, proofread, and are finalized by in-house transcriptionists with the option to easily listen to the original recordings if needed.
